5 Artists Exhibition

(January 15 - January 31, 2002)

 

Gallery Morfi presents 5 artists' latest work in an exhibition. All are graduates of the Fine Arts School of Athens. Some of them worked in the same workshop as their teacher. They are loyal artists who create and express their emotion through their paintings. With their colours they offer viewers their own struggle. They fight with their own way to express feelings through beauty. Each one has chosen their road.

Giorgos Gerontides was born in 1975 in Limassol and studied at the Fine Arts School in Athens under Mitara. He graduated with honors. His work is in collections in Greece and Cyprus . He has taken part in many team exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece.
Aristotelis Demetriou was born in Pafos in 1962. He too studied at the Fine Arts School in Athens and also worked under D. Mitaras and P. Tetsi. He is vice president of the Fine Arts Committee in Cyprus. He has had 7 atomic exhibitions and has presented his work in several team exhibitions. His work is in Cyprus and Greece.

Yiota Ioannidou was born in Pafos. She also studied at the Fine Arts School in Athens under the teachers P. Tetsi and P. Papastourou. She has had several atomic exhibitions and taken part in team exhibitions.
Panicos Tsangaras was born in 1964. He studied drawing at the Fine Arts School in Athens under P. Tetsi. At the same time he followed other workshops under K. Xinopoulo and G. Valavanides. He also took a class in the history of Art with Marina Lambraki-Plaka. In 1990 he founded the Drawing School in Limassol which continues to work today. He has had 6 atomic exhibitions and taken part in team exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece.
